The other footy caricature is of Owen Coyle when playing with Airdrieonians. Coyle signed for Airdrieonains, now Airdrie United a remarkable 5 times throughout his career and is now manager of Burnley FC.

Football Caricatures

The caricature to the right was one that was won as part of an auction in aid of the Ormiston Gala!

The person who succseefully bid wanted a caricature of his son wearing a Manchester United strip, apparently his favourite team!

The caricature was partly created on my PC with the finer detail, hair , and shading, added by hand using an ink pen.

more...STAR WARS ILLUSTRATIONS

As with the Yoda Illustration the illustartion od C3PO has been drawn by hand with black ink and has been incorporated in invitations and cards for family and friends.

Star Wars Illustrations

Having grown up and been a huge Star Wars fan, creating illustrations of my favourite characters from the six films was great fun for me!

I created these for friends and used them for birthday cards and invitations! They are simple black and white illustrations created by hand, not computer.

Comic Illustrations

During my time designing work over the years I have been asked to create various illlustrations for friends and family. The Illustration to the right was one i created for my friend Dave Steele, an avid comic book fan who at the time was wanting me to create a fictional comic book front cover for his girlfriend at the time.

I am unable to remember her name but she was Wonder Woman's biggest fan so it made sense that i should incorporate this into the illustration. With David also wanting to be featured in the illustration I found out his favoutite character was the Green Lantern so again I managed to create a caricature of Dave and incorporate it within the final design.

This illustration was my first attempt using an apple mac computer instead of my PC.

Stevie Cooper (1964-2004)

The Caricature featured here is of one of my favourite Airdrionian players, Steve Cooper.
Stevie Cooper was an English footballer best known for his time spent with Airdrieonians.
He was part of the Airdrie side that made it to the 1995 Scottish Cup Final and played the full 90 minutes against Celtic as the Diamonds lost 1-0 to a Pierre van Hooijdonk goal.
Before joing Airdrie, Cooper played for a number of clubs in England, most notably Tranmere Rovers, where he scorde twice in Tranmere's successful play-off campaign in 1991 that saw the club promoted to the First Division, and also in the club's 3-2 defeat against Cooper's former club Birmingham City in the Leyland DAF Cup final, also in 1991. In 1984 he had a loan spell in Holland with NAC Breda.
He was inducted into the Airdrie United Hall of Fame in 2004 as recognition of his service to the club. Sadly, Stevie passed away in the same year, he was only 39 years of age.
